Export Options

istjgeek 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

I see there is a way to export to PDF. Is there a similar option for exporting your data to .xls, .csv or some text-based format? (My goal would be to have a text-based archive of all entries - to serve as a backup and potentially an annual report)

All our company, department and team views have export to XLS.

For your form and personal view, there currently is no plans to add it, but you can use the other views to export your own items to XLS.

Import Tasks From Asana

I have input the Asana API key, however I cannot import tasks. Can you help me?

Hi,

if you have input the Asana API key and pressed "Connect Asana to import items" button, and selected the workspaces from which to import items, there are 2 options:

1) to automatically import the tasks to your report, enable the checkbox "Import tasks automatically" in the same settings page

2) to manually import the items (so you are able to choose which items to import and which not), leave the checkbox unmarked - in your report form will appear next to the title "Progress" a button called "Import", which allows you to scroll through the list of Asana items that are marked as "closed, non-archived"

Please refer to our blog post about importing items http://blog.weekdone.com/generate-asana-reports/

If that doesn't help can you e-mail us at hello@weekdone.com so we can give more instructions and see what's wrong?
Sorry for trouble.

Can you add the ability to add an image to the tasks?

When assigning plans/tasks to employees I need to attach screen shots. I would like to be able to upload or drag the images into the task.

ISSUE: As manager - My own report to my manager needs to be private.

Giselle Diaz 11 years ago updated by Weekdone 11 years ago 1

I have various teams I manage, but also have my own weekly report to file to my manager.  Since I have my own report, but I am also a manager of other teams, my own report shares across every team I manage!  So now I have to list myself as "observer" and "manager" of those teams, to keep my own report private.

I have my own tasks across other teams, so I want to be more than an observer there, but be able to have a private report at another team with my own manager.

Please, please fix this...we are finding the program very helpful,  but with some MAJOR problems for multiple team cross-reporting.  Certain people belong to multiple teams and need separate reports for each!

How would you delete an item as no longer relevant and yet keep it in previous weeks' plans?

Dan Feeny 10 years ago updated by Weekdone 10 years ago 1

Very often a task becomes no longer relevant but you want to keep it as a planned goal in previous weeks.  What is the designed workflow for a situation like I've described?

Any suggestions?

'Clone To' feature is missing completion feedback

pfortner 9 years ago updated by Weekdone 9 years ago 2
When cloning a task to a different Team there is no indication that it worked. We inadvertently created multiple copies as it creates a clone per click without feedback or collapsing the tree as I would expect.
